Let’s do a tummy check right now: is it relaxed and comfie or tied up in knots?

When you’re feeling out of kilter or upset, your stomach is one of the first places this can show up.  And it’s easy to get so used to it that you stop noticing.

Storing your worries in this area has a knock-on effect throughout your entire system.

So relaxation isn’t just important for your overall wellbeing and feeling happy, it’s also extremely important for your tummy, too.

This is yet another way essential oils are marvellous with their relaxation-inducing properties.  Inhale your favourite comforting oils and apply them over your entire tummy and mid-riff to help ease out those tensions you’re maybe not even aware you’re holding onto there.

Years ago, Young Living created a wonderfully herbaceous and spicy-scented essential oil blend named Di-Gize™.  It’s resplendent with oils from a bunch of herbs with a legendary history of use in cooking, adding flavour and helping your system to make the most of the goodness in those herbs and the nutrients in the foods with which you’re seasoning them.

Young Living DiGize™ is fabulous for inhaling and topical application to help you relax when you’re eating – and before and after!

If you’re like me, you’ll enjoy the distinctive aromatics so much that you’ll have it diffusing just for the pleasure of the fragrance.  It’s kind of like enjoying an aniseed-y after-dinner mint via your olfactory system rather than your taste buds!  Sadly, you get zero chocolate in this process but it’s aromatic effects are worth it.  You’ll have to try diffusing Di-Gize™ yourself to discover its unique appeal.

Young Living Di-Gize™ includes the essential oils of tarragon (Artemisia dracunculus), ginger root (Zingiber officinale), peppermint (Mentha piperita), juniper (Juniperus osteosperma), fennel (Foeniculum vulgare), lemongrass (Cymbopogon flexuosus), anise seed (Pimpinella anisum) and patchouli (Pogostemon cablin).

We’ve dedicated entire posts to most of these oils, and some of these Young Living single oils can be added to food and drink.  It’s imperative that you only ever do this when the label clearly states you can do so, though!  Not only do you need impeccable quality and genuine purity, as is the case with Young Living’s essential oils, but not all essential oils are suitable for going down the hatch.  So do be sensible and follow the labels at all times, thank you.

young living digize essential oil blendSo how do you best make use of Young Living DiGize™?  It’s wonderful for:

  • Diffusing (any time, but especially around meal times to help create a relaxing vibe that encourages you to eat slowly and savour your meals and feel at ease)
  • Topical application to your chest, tummy and wrists (from our experience, most people seem fine using it undiluted but as always, please test your own skin’s sensitivity to this blend and dilute as needed)
  • Apply topically as a companion oil to complement Young Living ComforCleanse Capsules™ (a combination of the essential oils of German chamomile, mandarin, copaiba, fennel, peppermint, anise, rosemary, ginger with a number of herbs to assist with constipation)

Essential oils are potent, so as always, please follow directions on the bottle and the usual guidelines for safe use of authentic essential oils.

Please ensure you are choosing a brand with complete transparency from seed to seal, such as Young Living.  You can learn in this short video why we only ever recommend and choose Young Living oils and love them so much!
