If you’re ready to invest your time into creating an economic future that’s the closest you’ll find to a level playing field throughout the entire spectrum of jobs and lifestyle careers, building an essential oils and clean, green business with Young Living is an option I strongly urge you to consider!

When chatting recently at a social gathering, the subject of employment came up.  And it seems that inequality is still a very real issue.

One lady amongst the group of people was an academic at a university.  She had more qualifications than you could poke a stick at, including a phD, awards for excellence in teaching, a list a mile long of published research.  She had initiated several ground breaking programmes and was constantly looking for ways to further her skills and knowledge and add to her credentials.  Yet she found herself overlooked every time a promotion came along.  She attributes this to being both a woman and having a “non-Anglo” name.  She’s also turned 50 and felt her age was impacting her career progression, too.  How disappointing and frustrating – and downright unfair.

How often do you hear of similar things amongst your circle?  Glass ceilings, discrimination against both men and women of different ethnic backgrounds, ageism – all are rife.

What if you could help people in this situation by showing them a business they can build without big start-up costs and giving up their day jobs – one where age, gender, education levels and race are completely irrelevant?

You can with Young Living!

Building your independent Young Living business is not always easy because it’s a departure from the traditional idea of “work a certain number of hours and be paid for those hours,” paradigm.

It takes patience, consistency and a willingness to help others and learn some new things.  And occasionally you might also come across someone who’s had a past negative experience with the multilevel / network marketing / direct selling industry. It happens in all careers and this one is not exempt.  You’ll need to help them to understand that it’s simply a highly effective and efficient method of distribution of products that enables everyday people from all walks of life to make an income and gain the lifestyle they aspire to.

But the great news:  while it’s not always easy (and few things worth having are easy), it’s extremely simple!

Once you have the hang of it, you’re set.  You can continue to learn and evolve, of course, but anyone can master the core essentials of building and developing a successful business.

Let’s look at a bunch of awesome reasons to embark on this path.

Freedom and Flexibility

Work to suit your pace and schedule, as there are no monthly quotas.   To qualify for earning commissions, there’s a modest amount of product you need to turn over personally each month.  But you’ll easily do that by switching from buying your non-toxic cleaning and personal care products, nutritious foods and supplements and your essential oils from other stores and ordering them through your own Young Living membership instead. And any retail sales you make count towards this, too, if someone prefers to order directly from you rather than Young Living.

It’s great to set your own personal targets and milestones as a way to have goals to help move you towards your bigger picture of developing this as an income stream, but you’re the one who sets those, not the company.

Incredibly Simple

Use the products, share the products with other like-minded people and help them to do the same.  This is the sum total of what you need to learn and apply in order to develop a great YL business.

People often think, “But I can’t sell products – I’m not a salesperson and I don’t want to be!”  I hear you and I get it.  Yes, at some point you’ll need to present someone with choices as to how and what to order. But when you approach it as helping people to find solutions in their daily life that will bring them greater quality of life, reduce their intake of potentially toxic compounds and enhance their feelings of relaxation and positivity through the most divine-smelling natural fragrances on the planet thanks to the Young Living essential oils: is that really so hard?

And you don’t have to become an expert in essential oil science, either.  Some people find themselves wanting to dig deep into that side of things. But you don’t need to understand electricity to turn on a light switch, and likewise you don’t need to understand essential oils for them to work. Your business is built not on technical information, but on helping people get in touch with easy-to-use healthful products and helping them to help others to do the same.

In fact, it’s vitally important not to make claims about what essential oils and other products might be capable of doing.  Instead, simply focus on introducing people to the products and the various safe and fun ways of using them.  When it comes to choosing which oils and products to use, encourage people to buy reference books written by experts so they can educate themselves to better make wise choices for their health and wellbeing.

Tremendous Support and Training

Tap into a proven system with abundant training on offer from the company itself plus plenty of support, encouragement and training with your upline team members who will help you as much or as little as you desire.  You’re only ever ‘on your own’ with this business if you choose to run it that way.  There are always chances to catch up and exchange ideas with other YL members, and there’s a lot of fun and socialising into the bargain.

Positive for Everyone, from You to the Planet

Young Living products are all sourced from nature, ethically and sustainably and with fair trade and working conditions.  They are all free from known toxins so using them is helping to create healthier environment for you at home and work, along with reducing the pollution and synthetics in our air, soil and waterways.  Essential oils are documented and proven by research to have a wide array of positive influences over our wellbeing, both targeted and general.  They are enhancing physically, spiritually and mood-wise.  And they smell divine.  What’s not to love about all that?!

Equal Opportunity

You earn income with Young Living entirely based on the volume of product that moves through your business.  You are not paid for sponsoring people and you are not paid based on the number of people ordering.  The way you’re paid is described in the compensation plan and your earnings increase as the volume of product being turned over through your organisation increases.  The system does not care where you were born, what sex, race or nationality you are, how old you are and where you live.  It’s fair, equitable and rewarding in so many ways!

The Potential to Take Time Off Without Your Business Stopping

This one kicks in once you have an organisation that is starting to turn over product outside of your own personal immediate efforts.  How does that happen?  Once you have a few like-minded people also loving and sharing the products with others, they in turn do the same and those people in turn do the same – to varying degrees, of course, and some might only order product for themselves rather than sharing the opportunity with others – but over time can you see how this starts to grow?  No longer is it just you doing all the work.

So if you need to take a little time to recover from some personal difficulties, your business can continue to sustain itself.  Like anything, it still needs TLC ongoing, but unlike a job or consulting where you have to turn up to work to be paid, your YL business has the potential to be more like writing a book or producing an album and continuing to earn on that work in the future.  It takes time and continued nurturing to support the people in your team.  But earning while you’re learning and taking time off without your business suffering is a very real possibility when you’re prepared to make a plan and work the plan.

Consistency is the key and the only way you won’t eventually succeed is if you quit.
